CADS – NCD Discounts
The CADS – NCD mandate includes breaking down barriers to alpine skiing for people with disabilities. One of the barriers is the financial considerations of the sport. Disabled skiers incur more expense than able bodied skiers, because of the need for a ski partner and specialized equipment. Some progressive ski areas have acknowledged the value of supporting this activity and level the playing field, by offering attractive discounts for disabled skiers. We are attempting to promote this concept and publish the results. A big congratulations and welcome aboard to those ski areas who are participating.
As a disabled skier and member of CADS, bring your CADS membership card with you to identify yourself as a member. If a ski area is not in this list, ask about discounts anyway and show your card. Report your experience to the Division office.
In addition to disabled skier discounts, because we are a large ski club, we are attempting to get club discounts at Ottawa area stores and ski centres, for all our members.
